TLC Salsa - Pyjama Party (Southampton) 8th August

Oh what joy, oh what fun, dancing salsa in my... pj's. Definitely a first and hoping it's not the last. As always, a great and memorable event host by TLC - Southampton. Thanks to all who attended my class, your continued support is much appreciated.

Turkey Salsa Fest (Istanbul) 20-23rd June

Oh yes!!!! The off the cuff decision to attend this event was well worth it. Sorry Pakefield, I did not miss you at all last weekend. Although I did not purposefully do many workshops or dancing, I believe the relative cost of going to Turkey instead of Pakefield made sense. I decided last year that spending around the same money and going abroad is far better than repeatedly attending one or two the UK based congresses\weekends. I have a couple of good pics and will add them shortly. More will appear on my web. Turkey - people great, food great, good level of dancing and plenty to see and do if you don't want to dance or do workshops all weekend.

Rollerworld - Derby _ 14th June 08

In reality, this was an unplanned but welcomed return to Derby and the usual great and fun event hosted by Lee Hunter. The large venue was divided in two; one half playing R'n'B/R'n'B Salsa, the other, regular salsa. Key DJ's were Terry Lewis and Mauricio. I wasn't disappointed although, at one point I felt I was playing 'single man' tennis hoping from one half of the venue to the other.

Apasionada - Devon/Exeter - 7th June

What a good day this was. Finally got to see a bit more of the south west coast line. Previous visits to the south west were more getting off a train, teaching and then getting back on a train again. This time i gave the new wheels an airing on the m-ways so did not have to rush.

Record numbers were in attendance at the Apashionada event; perhaps more to do with the promotional work of Sally & Steve I would say. Still, I held up my end of the bargain and delivered a workshop that all clearly appreciated and fed this back during the night. Such was the feedback that i actually agreed my return before I left the venue. Thanks Sally and Steve for the invitation and the salseros/salseras for their warm reception and appreciation. See you all again soon.

Red Hat Salsa 25th May - Reading

Another great reception and attended class. Hopefully I can keep the gaps between my visits smaller in the future. Thanks Suzy H for assisting with the class; much appreciated. I had intended on moving from Reading to Nottingham ISIS (Crazy or what!). Ended up staying in Reading and had a lot of fun. Even had an extremely funny dance led by Anna Trant (I still think that 1st copa borders on illegal). Luv Ya

Colliery Club - Coventry 24th May

Love it, love it. What a shame you have to travel so far for a great salsa night out these days. As always I've no regrets by the end of the night so already looking forward to the next event.

Pavilion 10th May - Birmingham

Always worth the journey and with the addition of another dance floor... even better. We were treated to a good show at this event, looking good Gary. Next event is 12th July where yours truly will be putting a class through their paces with a cuban/cross body mix. See you there.
